25 Days of Christmas Crafting Day 8

**(scroll down for Creating Christmas Day 5 with The Girl Creative)**
Today is the last day for the weekly sponsor giveaways so be sure to check out Cooking with Cricut because there are some awesome giveaways! Not to mention the free files & tons of inspirational projects.

Today's theme is April Showers or Easter Theme

I found this great tutorial for paper baskets over at Making Friends Blog that I combined with Paper Crafting World's Basket and Flower Digi File and came up with this . . .

It was pretty simple.  First I used the Art Philosophy Cartridge to cut an 11" Circle.  Then I cut one inch strips into the center.
Then I wove one inch strips of paper through the circle to make the basket, gluing the handle last.
Finally I cut the digi stamp flowers out with patterned paper.  I also added a few flower stamped with the Hooray Bouquet Stamp Set, inked the edges of the basket and was done.  Now I have a cute little basket to give as a gift.  I was thinking this would look cute with poinsettias as a cookie basket for Christmas too.

The special I'm running this month is anyone who makes a purchase off of my website in the month of December will be put in a drawing for a free workshop on the go kit from Close To My Heart (this is my special and not Close To My Heart's special).  All you need to do is shop with me here and then e-mail me with the subject line "Cooking with Cricut Special" so that I can put your name in the drawing.  Thanks for shopping with me - hope you win!

Today is also Day Five in the Creating Christmas with The Girl Creative.

Today I'm going to show you something else to do with canning jars :) inspired by this pin from Better Homes and Gardens

Supplies needed: Canning Jars (any size - I used the small fat ones :) ), holiday greens, cranberries and floating candles.

1.  Fill the jars with the greens (I used pine needles from our tree) and cranberries.

 2.  BHG says add the water and then add the floating candle but I found that was harder to estimate how many cranberries so I just added the floating candle on top of the cranberries and then added the water.
 3.  Light and watch them glow :)

I put them on the candle stands that I have in my dinning room.
It is always good to have a helper.  Mine wanted her cranberries and pine in a blue bowl.
 She is so proud :)
Here they are all lined up in a row :)
Sorry for the long post - thanks for stopping by!  I love your comments and enjoy reading them :)

Merry Christmas,
