Quick & Simple Holiday Washi Cards

I created these Christmas cards in just a few minutes using

For the first one I cut a tree shape out with the Art Philosophy cartridge and then covered with Washi Tape.

The next one I used a piece of grey cardstock for the "trunk" and then used the washi to create the tree.  The Juniper Washi I cut in half length wise to create a thinner band.

The final one is just Washi diagonally across the card.

All three use the sentiment from Mary and Babe stamp set!

Thanks for stopping by :)

Happy Crafting,

Let It Snow Blog Hop

**Crafty Chicks Blog Hop post if you are looking for it***

Welcome to the Let It Snow Blog Hop!  You should have arrived from Carolyn's blog and this is the last stop on our hop.  You can go to Lisa's blog to start at the beginning :)

Our theme is snow and I created a snowy decoration for my home.  I used my Artbooking Cricut cartridge to cut out the Merry & Bright from glitter paper and a piece of the striped paper from my Sparkle & Shine paper pack.

The snowflakes were also cut with the same cartridge and strung with some cranberry baker's twine.  The frame was from the Dollar store and the sentiment was pasted onto a piece of Ruby red cardstock.

I hope you enjoyed the hop and have a very merry & bright holiday!  I'm giving away a sparkling prize package of Close To My Heart goodies for this hop.  Just visit my website and then come back and tell me your favorite item from the Holiday Gift Guide (I will pick a winner from the comments and announce here and on my facebook page next week December 14th)

Happy Crafting!

Crafty Chicks December Blog Hop

Welcome to the Crafty Chicks Sparkling Season December Blog Hop!

We are so excited to have you hopping along with us this month!  This month it is all about the sparkle & the shine :)  My kids and I created these super simple paper trees using the Close To My Heart Sparkle & Shine paper pack and green glitter paper

First I used the Artbooking Cartridge on my Cricut to cut a 6", 5", 4", 3" and 2" circle out of each pattern paper.  Then we folded each circle in half, in half again, in half again and in half one more time.  Then we cut a small hole in the tip of the triangle we created in each circle.  We put a wooden dowel through the center of each one and attached a small wooden circle from the Wooden Badge Buttons on sale in while supplies last.

This was a lot of fun and super simple to create.  We are keeping decorations simple this year because we purchased a house and are moving the first week of January.
It's a little hard to decorate when my husband wants to pack everything up - lol
The favorite of everyone was the green glitter tree.  These are so simple - I mean really simple - my seven year old, six year old and three year old make them with a little help from me.  I made the Glitter one :)

Our sponsor this month is me!

December Daily Album with Close To My Heart

I decided to try something new to me this year and make a December Daily Album.  Here is a detailed look at the pages and a video of my album without any photos.  I will do a video with the photos in the album in January so you can see how I used the flip flaps and other extras that I put into it.

I had a lot of fun with this!  A list of materials used is at the end of the post.  The entire album (with the exception of the 3-ring kraft binder) was cut using the Artbooking Cartridge from Close To My Heart.

I will post detailed photos on here tonight when the kids go to bed.  So come back later to see the photos of these pages.

Scrapbook Generation Blog Hop (Close To My Heart style)

So I have a confession to make.  I'm a clean and simple scrapbooker!  Yup that is me - always have been and I always will be.  That is what drew me to the Scrapbook Generation sketches and I fell in love.  When I'm not using my How To Guides or Workshops on the Go kits, SG is where I head for some simple yet stunning sketches.  That is why I am SOOO excited to be able to participate in a blog hop with other SG addicts like me :)

Without further ramblings welcome to the SG Blog Hop for December, if this is your first stop you might want to start at the  Scrapbook Generation blog and then hop along from there.  You should have arrived here from Lori's blog.

I like to get my layouts done ahead of the event and then just add my photos.  With flip flaps it makes it even easier!  So I used a sketch from the Christmas themed bundle and combined it with my left over paper from my Sparkle & Shine scrapbook workshop on the go kit.

Here is what I came up with . . .

I also added a few extras from the Sparkle & Shine Embellishments.  I love that the pattern paper comes with these zip strips like the one I added on top of the photos.  The star was stamped with the Workshop on the Go stamp set.

I can't wait to get my holiday photos into these layouts (I created a few more I'll be posting throughout the month as well as my December Daily and a few other holiday projects so come back and see more)!
Thank you so much for stopping by!

You can find the SG sketches in their books and as downloads in the SG store, and there is a free one every month in case you wanted to try it out.

Next on the hop is Mandi, leave a comment on each blog and one person will receive a free sketch bundle of their choice from the store!  The winner will be draw on December 9th, so you have one week to leave a comment.

In case you get lost at any point, here is the list all the blogs
Scrapbook Generation blog - http://scrapbookgeneration.blogspot.com/

Thanks again for stopping by!  I hope you have a fabulously creative December and a wonderfully blessed Holiday with your family!  Happy Scrapping,
Elizabeth
