Scrapbook Generation Blog Hop (Close To My Heart style)

So I have a confession to make.  I'm a clean and simple scrapbooker!  Yup that is me - always have been and I always will be.  That is what drew me to the Scrapbook Generation sketches and I fell in love.  When I'm not using my How To Guides or Workshops on the Go kits, SG is where I head for some simple yet stunning sketches.  That is why I am SOOO excited to be able to participate in a blog hop with other SG addicts like me :)

Without further ramblings welcome to the SG Blog Hop for December, if this is your first stop you might want to start at the  Scrapbook Generation blog and then hop along from there.  You should have arrived here from Lori's blog.

I like to get my layouts done ahead of the event and then just add my photos.  With flip flaps it makes it even easier!  So I used a sketch from the Christmas themed bundle and combined it with my left over paper from my Sparkle & Shine scrapbook workshop on the go kit.

Here is what I came up with . . .

I also added a few extras from the Sparkle & Shine Embellishments.  I love that the pattern paper comes with these zip strips like the one I added on top of the photos.  The star was stamped with the Workshop on the Go stamp set.

I can't wait to get my holiday photos into these layouts (I created a few more I'll be posting throughout the month as well as my December Daily and a few other holiday projects so come back and see more)!
Thank you so much for stopping by!

You can find the SG sketches in their books and as downloads in the SG store, and there is a free one every month in case you wanted to try it out.

Next on the hop is Mandi, leave a comment on each blog and one person will receive a free sketch bundle of their choice from the store!  The winner will be draw on December 9th, so you have one week to leave a comment.

In case you get lost at any point, here is the list all the blogs
Scrapbook Generation blog - http://scrapbookgeneration.blogspot.com/

Thanks again for stopping by!  I hope you have a fabulously creative December and a wonderfully blessed Holiday with your family!  Happy Scrapping,
Elizabeth

Close To My Heart Stickease and Compliments

While I do love the look of stamping on my scrapbook layouts I don't always want to pull out my stamps nor do I have the time to invest in a stamped layout.  That is where the Close To My Heart Canvas shapes, Stickease and complements come in to play!  I love how quick and easy it is to use just paper and a few stickers to create beautiful layouts that focus on the photos and the story!  You can see how I did that with the
Baby Cakes paper pack in my personally designed scrapbook kit here.

Here are a few other layouts Jeanette shared on her blog using each paper pack and it's coordinating stickers and complements.  (Select the paper pack name to see all the coordinating product available)

Laughing Lola:

Sarita:

ProPlayer (great boy scrapbook supplies which are for some reason so hard to find):

Baby Cakes:

Huntington:

Frosted:

Which is your favorite?  Add a few flip flaps and you've created some great pages to showcase your memories and share your story!  Happy Crafting :)
