Seaside Scrapbook Layout

Its been too long since I've last posted.  However, I have a good reason and here he is . . .

While this time around (number four) I'm lacking sleep much longer this surprise child has been such a blessing.  I used the Seaside Paper Pack and Picture My Life (think Project Life) cards to create this page.  I'm loving how easily (and quickly) my pages are coming together with these cards!  Instant titles and journal spots plus with a little creativity I'm able to create custom embellishments!  Love it!!

This compass was cut from a PML card, the "Happiness" was cut out of a zip strip and the journal card is from the Seaside PML card pack.

Even though I haven't been online as much I've still been creating.  I'm hoping to share some of my recent projects with you in the coming weeks.  Thanks for stopping by!  It's good to be back :)

Special Care Close To My Heart Card

Hi there Happy December :)  This month will be super busy for me on the home front (I'm sure it is for all of you as well) but in addition to birthdays, school responsibilities and holiday activities we added buying a home and moving in to our list of things to do :)
Anyway, one of the first things I thought of when I saw the Close To My Heart December stamp set

This set would make a super cute layout, mini album or baby card.  I used it to create this baby boy card.

I used some paper scraps from my Sparkle & Shine workshop on the go and the birds are from the mini wooden shapes.

Thanks for stopping by!  Don't forget about my
Cyber Weekend Sale going on right now :)

Happy Crafting,

Elizabeth

Oh Baby (Close to My Heart style)

There are six new paper packs in the CTMH Idea Book and they are all so perfectly adorable!  I'll introduce one each Monday (from here on out) and show you some projects created with it!  Today I'll share with you BabyCakes paper.  It is adorable with neutral colors and perfect for baby, back to school and even winter.  I have a few projects coming up in the next few weeks using this paper pack showing you a winter themed layout, a fun layout with baby photos of my nephew and a back to school layout for my boys.
Filled with gorgeous stripes, a sweet alphabet page, and adorable geraffes, the new Babycakes paper is perfect for showing off your precious little one's photos.  The beautiful grey pattern lends itself perfectly to a winter themed card or layout as well and the polkadots are perfect for everyday fun!  These pattern papers blend perfectly with CTMH Chocolate, Slate, Butercup and Sunset.

The coordinating products are just a delicious (get it BabyCAKES - lol) with some yummy badge button adhesives and canvas shapes that work perfectly with embellishing.  Here are a few products to show you what can be done with this beauty of a paper!  Even some adorable baby themed stamp sets to match - so fun!

Stay tuned - I have a whole Baby themed workshop for you (create 6 layouts - that is 12 pages) for only $25 and will include color photos and instructions on how to put the workshop together.  Have a great weekend!!

Stay A Stay at Home Mom - DIY Baby Ideas

Rayven from Stay A Stay At Home Mom is having a baby themed giveaway and I am excited to be able to participate in this event.  I have three kids of my own and love being able to stay at home with them.  They are growing up fast!

My sister just welcomed her second baby boy into the family born seven weeks early!

One of my favorite things to do is craft and my second is to decorate - so I am thrilled to be able to share some ideas with you on how to DIY from decorating your baby's room to creating personalized announcements and everything in between.
I have a pinterest board dedicated just to decorating for baby and you'll find that here.
Here are a few DIY decorating ideas (PLEASE click on photo for source and pin from original source)
Check out this blog for super tutorial on using Dictionary pages and vintage greeting cards.
Or use frames, a cabinet door knob and some pretty paper to display baby (or doll) clothing.  I used this idea in our daughter's room with a sweater from my great grandmother, a dress my grandmother wore as a baby, a baby dress of my mother's and then a baby sweater of mine.  I loved the look and the sentiment behind it as well.
Some beautiful girl paper for this type of project is the Chantilly paper pack from Close To My Heart.
And I love the Later Sk8r paper for boy themed projects.
Another great room decorating idea is this Alphabet art (I love alphabet art - plus some art can be used even as they grow older making changing out the nursery decor less of a necessity)

Mini albums are another favorite of mine and make great baby books (in fact you can re-purpose baby board books to make mini albums like the one I made here), brag books for mom, grandma or an aunt, and are super keepsakes for baby's firsts.

I created these mini albums with chipboard pieces, the Cricut Artiste cartridge and pattern paper.

Finally making your own invitations and announcements is easy with custom design stamps and baby stamps.

a Rafflecopter giveaway
I hope you win the giveaway!  Whether you win or not please feel free to contact me with questions on baby shower themes, nursery decorating ideas and/or stamping your own albums or announcements.  I will be happy to help you come up with a perfect fit for your precious bundle :)  Enjoy this time.
