November Creatively Redeeming Treasures Team Hop

Welcome to our team hop.

We are featuring Close To My Heart's Huntington paper pack this month.
We only have four blogs this month so its a short hop but hopefully you will get a good taste of just how beautiful this Huntington paper pack really is!

I created a card and matching gift tag.  The tag attaches to our muslin bags filled with stovetop potpourri which is perfect for both the autumn and winter holidays - these make great hostess gifts, party favors or small holiday gift.  I love how they make my house smell!

Inside the bag to create your own:
Small orange
cranberries
whole cloves
two cinnamon sticks

Materials used:
Huntington Paper Pack
Scallop Punch
Bronze Shimmer Trim
Always Grateful Stamp Set
Thank You Stamp
Muslin Bags Set

Thanks for hopping along :)  Next stop is my sweet friend Helen!

Joyful Stars Team November Blog Hop

Welcome to the November Joyful Stars Blog Hop :)  We are doing Holiday/Christmas theme this month.   If you are coming from Cindy's blog you are in the right place :)

I saw some shaker cards on pinterest and my favorite card making blogs and thought I would give them a try.  I could not find my glitter so I used embossing powder, 3D foam tape, a chipboard frame and our page protectors to create this card.

While it worked well I think there are a few adjustments I will make when recreating this card.  First I will use glitter because the embossing powder is just a little too fine.  Secondly I'm going to use Liquid Glass to make sure the adhesive is down and will not move.  I got this idea from Betty while we were cropping together today - thanks Betty :)  As it is now when I shake the card and the powder settles a little bit comes out between the cracks of the foam tape.

I used some Sparkle & Shine paper scraps and the Christmas Gift Tag & Bag gift set stamp set for this card.

You can see here in the photo that a little movement makes the card "snow".  And then when it settles it looks like there is snow on the mistletoe, birds and paper "hills".

Thanks so much for stopping by :)  Have a fabulous weekend!

Sneak Peek: Picture Your Life

Brand new coming to a CTMH consultant near you (Me or could even be YOU)
January 1, 2014 Consultants
February 1, 2014 Customers

Do you love documenting memories in minutes? Then you’ll love the new Picture My Life™ scrapbooking program, meant for quick and beautiful memory-keeping. This program comes in eight themes, all based on the gorgeous designs of some of our most popular paper packets. Whether you choose to embrace a single theme or mix and match for a truly unique look, you’ll love the ease, affordability, and beauty of the Picture My Life programs. Your own photos are all you need to add to make astounding artwork—in no time at all!

Each program has a theme, from childhood to friendship to travel, but because we have ensured sufficient variety in design and style of each you can easily apply the cards to other themes. Say you love the palette and designs of the Babycakes program but wish to apply a “family” theme—go ahead! It’s one of the unique  possibilities of the program! With a large quantity of product in each program you will be able to craft creative arrangements all your own.

Each program includes 122 double-sided cards plus 10 unique Memory Protectors™ to capture life as it happens, and their versatility and gorgeous designs will transform your albums into masterpieces. On one side of each card is space for journaling, and on the other you’ll find artistic sentiments and icons. Each program is designed to accommodate approximately 100 photos in your included Memory Protectors, so with a balance of photos and cards, you’ll finish with about 20 remaining cards. That means you have plenty of choice and flexibility in which cards you choose to include, making it uniquely yours! Of course, you can easily use more or fewer photos in your project to suit your story’s needs.

Unique to Picture My Life is the included 12" × 12" double-sided cover page with each individual program, using a beautiful My Reflections™ pattern. True to Close To My Heart standards, the cover page offers a finished and cohesive look to your project with its featured high-quality design. The Picture My Life program is so versatile that you’ll find dozens of other ways to incorporate it into your papercrafting. Use the cards to expand other projects you’ve started! For example, if you just got back from the trip of a lifetime and wonder how you will capture all the details, mix the Picture My Life cards with your photos to extend your scrapbook pages. Choose your very favorite photos to scrapbook on 12" × 12" two-page layouts then use coordinating Picture My Life cards and your remaining photos to document the rest of your trip in minutes.

This program is yet another new, fresh addition and option for memory keepers to preserve their memories. The cards enhance the scrapbooking experience—making it even more fun—and they work brilliantly in mini albums, My Crush™ books, as journaling cards on your 12" × 12" classic scrapbook pages, or as gift cards and tags.

What makes the Picture My Life™ scrapbooking program different from other card-style programs on the market?

Our product features unique Close To My Heart designs, specifically with

Jeanette’s signature artistic influence. Many card programs are very simple

patterns or solid colors, and our product offers a much more thoughtful

approach to design, journaling options and prompts, headlines, and layered

, graphical, illustrated or distressed style—each of the 8 kits really is a fresh

take that is theme-rich and yet extremely versatile, not just color changing

the same core designs. Additionally, our cards are printed on our Background

and Texture-weight cardstock, heavier than similar programs on the market,

which makes them easy to mix and match with coordinating cardstocks or

papers. Our 12" × 12" cover page gives you a unique opening page to kick off

your album and deliver a finished look, and our Memory Protectors™ remain

the same heavy-weight, durable material you’ve come to depend on to

protect your photos—absolutely the industry standard!

Crafty Chicks Give Thanks Blog Hop

Welcome to the Crafty Chicks Give Thanks Blog Hop!  Last month we featured Halloween and we had quite a few of you share your projects with us on our facebook event :)  That was so much fun, and you are all so talented, we are going to do it again this time around so be sure to visit our facebook event and upload your own Fall/Thanksgiving themed project this week.  We can not wait to see what you have created!

This is the first stop on your hop and the complete list is at the end of the post.  I created a tag banner for Thanksgiving and put it up on one of our old windows.  In our last home we replaced the windows of the over 200 year old stone house right before my husband lost  his job and we had to sell it.  I kept quite a few of them because I'm a crafter you know.  This is the first time I'm using any of them.  We moved almost six years ago.  Whatever, at least it is getting used and I have a whole pinterest board dedicated to old windows so I'm sure I'll use the others - lol

Anyway here is my tag banner

I used my Art Philosophy Cartridge to cut out the tags on my Cricut, used my alphabet stamps and odds and ends.  A complete recipe of items used is at the end (including some deeply discounted products - everyone loves a bargain)!

These library tags are from the Memo Assortment (only 85 cents for a pack!)
