Today I created two cards using the same stamp set  from the Frosted Card Workshop on the go. The first one is using white ink, prisma glitter,  and the Sparkle & Shine paper pack.  

I used a bowl to trace the curve on the card and then cut them out - real high tech I know - lol

The second card I cut out a triangle from a piece of scrap paper and taped it down over the white cardstock piece.  Then I used juniper and new england ivy inks to stamp the snowflakes inside the triangle creating a "tree".  The star at the top is a wooden shape from the color ready trinkets shapes and the Everlasting Life sentiment is from the a retired stamp set.

Joyful Stars Team November Blog Hop

Welcome to the November Joyful Stars Blog Hop :)  We are doing Holiday/Christmas theme this month.   If you are coming from Cindy's blog you are in the right place :)  
I saw some shaker cards on pinterest and my favorite card making blogs and thought I would give them a try.  I could not find my glitter so I used embossing powder, 3D foam tape, a chipboard frame and our page protectors to create this card.  

While it worked well I think there are a few adjustments I will make when recreating this card.  First I will use glitter because the embossing powder is just a little too fine.  Secondly I'm going to use Liquid Glass to make sure the adhesive is down and will not move.  I got this idea from Betty while we were cropping together today - thanks Betty :)  As it is now when I shake the card and the powder settles a little bit comes out between the cracks of the foam tape.

I used some Sparkle & Shine paper scraps and the Christmas Gift Tag & Bag gift set stamp set for this card.

You can see here in the photo that a little movement makes the card "snow".  And then when it settles it looks like there is snow on the mistletoe, birds and paper "hills".

Joyful Stars Blog Hop - Sarita

   Welcome to the Joyful Starts Blog Hop.   If you are coming from Cindy's blog you are in the right place. I'm not a big fan of bold pattern papers.  This Clean and Simple Girl just avoids them most of the time.  However, last year I took a pattern paper card making class online with Online Card Classes.  When I saw the new Sarita papers from Close To My Heart I knew right away I was making cards with these wild things. Here are two of the many cards that I've created using this paper pack: The first one I just cut out some of the diamond pattern paper and glued them to the card base.  This takes a very bold paper and tones it down a little bit.  

The second card cuts the busy chevron paper into a more manageable size and I am in love with the way it turned out!

Joyful Stars New Product Blog Hop

Welcome to the Joyful Stars Blog Hop - this month we are featuring brand new product from the Autumn/Winter 2013 Idea Book.  If you are coming from Helen's blog you are in the right place!

I'm featuring Babycakes paper pack and accessories in this post (part of a Five 2-page layout kit that I am offering).   Some of you know that my sister had her second baby eight weeks early on June 8th.  As a gift to her I created three 2-page layouts to use with her photos.   Here is one of them.

This layout along with four others are a part of my BabyCakes Scrapbook Kit (post coming on Monday).  I used our markers to color in the flowers on the pattern paper - a little pop of blue to match the photos :)

Close To My Heart Joyful Stars Blog Hop
