Scrapping Everyday Miracles Birthday Bash

We are well on our way through celebrating SEM's birthday with a HUGE Bash. tons of giveaways, lots of fun and challenges and games and everything a good birthday celebration should have :)  If you have not checked out Scrapping Everyday Miracles blog and the great Facebook Chit Chat Groupyou totally should :)  There are some great prizes all weekend long and you do not want to miss out!
I'm holding a layout challenge today on the Chit Chat Group for a summer layout.
Here are a few samples of summer layouts I have done in the past few summers. This page is of my boys after a trip to the Crayola Factory and the purchase of Sidewalk Paint

 The boys had so much fun painting everything BUT the sidewalk :)  My favorite is the picture of my oldest in the top left corner - you can just see the mischief in his eyes!


Here is another layout of our family enjoying the warm sunshine.  God's blessings are seen all around us in different ways.  I love the various seasons and the everyday miracles they bring.  The sunshine, the longer days, all the water fun, the relaxing and "stress free" days of summer.  I am so thankful for the changing in the weather so that I enjoy every season in its time :)

Wood Grain Technique

This was so much fun and I LOVE the results of this technique.  I would never have even heard of this technique if it wasn't for the Just Us Girls Challenge.  Check out the video tutorial here.

   Because I made a father's day card and used the wood grain technique to make my own background paper I think this card also qualifies for the Heart 2 Heart Challenge this week as well.

Materials used:

For the Wood Grain Background Paper

White Daisy Ink (this is paint based ink which I love!!)

Barn Red Ink 

Sunflower Cardstock

 For the Tag

Outdoor Denim Ink 

Olive Ink

Paper Lantern Stamp Set & Classmate Alphabet Stamp Set

And my new favorite product (used to make the "brad" and write over DAD)

Liquid Glass

And using the same Wood Grain technique to make a card for this week's Colour Q challenge

2.  When finished with your layout go to shopping cart (you must approve your layout first!) and select JPG only for your FREE JPG.

3.  You will receive 3 JPGs (one of the right page of your layout, one of the left page and one with both pages - which will say "for web"), follow the directions in the e-mail to download your JPGs 

4.  Go to the contest page on facebook and select "view entries" and "submit your own entry"

5.  Share with all your friends on facebook and ask them to vote for your entry from July 1-10. 

The most votes wins the grand prize, second most the second place prize and 

third most the third place prize!
