I'm very excited to be guest designing for Elizabeth at Broken Treasures!
It's been quite some time since I've actually created a card.
My creative time is typically spent designing new stamp sets,
but I have to say it felt really goooood to dust off the ol' ink pads :)
I pulled out CAS-ual Elegance and Loving Thoughts to create this soft and serene card.
I love kraft cardstocks, and I love chipboard!
The really cute chipboard shapes most often come in a kraft color
which is cool, but I often times like my fun shapes to be colorful,
and I really like stamping on them :)
Not to worry, it's an easy fix...
I used simple white craft paint that you can find at any craft or hobby store for less than $2.
If you have a little foam paint brush, they work awesome, but guess what...so do make-up sponges!
I usually apply 2-3 coats to get a good base.
Then, have fun stamping!
To get that really soft and subtle background, I stamped the vines in a soft green, which did look good on it's own. But I wanted subtle, so I misted it with a soft green glimmer mist to soften and blend.
I used the same vines on the kraft cardstock, but used VersaMark to get that cool tone on tone look.
Once the paint dried, this went together lickety split...and it was really fun!!
Have an awesome weekend!!
Happy Friday all!
