So I saw this card on pinterest

and immediately thought of the color challenge this week on Heart 2 Heart.
So here are our invitations
I know there is no juniper but I felt like the majority of the color challenge was there so I'm entering it in. To make the folded background circle (also called a rosette) behind the pumpkin you will need a 1 by 12 inch strip of paper (patterned paper would look super cute too!). Then score the paper at every 1/4 inch to look like this
Fold accordion style
Put adhesive on one end and secure it to the other end making a full circle.
Then push the middle down with one hand while putting the glued stamped circle in the center.
Put something on top until it is dry - I used an acrylic block - good for more than just stamping :)
I adhered a piece of Elemental patterned paper to the top of the card and then sewed the fabric onto the card using a machine (too much for hand stitching). Next I stamped the "you're invited" from the January Stamp of the month onto the bottom of the card. I inked the edges of the card with Chocolate Ink and then glued the pumpkin to the card. I laid a book on top of the card until it was dry.
Materials Used: Inks: Gold Rush, Autumn Terracotta, New England Ivy, Chocolate Cardstock: Bamboo, Colonial White Patterned Paper: Elemental Stamp Set: So Grateful |
I'm also linking up with the following:
