Happy Family Summer Zoo trip 2

Here is the other layout on our trip to the zoo
To duplicate this layout you will need to first set up an account on Studio J (this is absolutely FREE - I promise it does not cost you a thing - you can even set it up with papers and then use the layout as a sketch to make your own traditional paper layout using your own supplies - see truly FREE)

Then choose the following:
Magic Moments Kit
Powerful Trio Pattern
Kit mix 2

Change up the patterns to whatever colors and papers you want to use in order to go from this

to this:

Studio J Tip: Make your own striped ribbon by creating a journal box, select color background (I used topiary), size to the ribbon you want.  Create a second journal box, edit text, forward slashes in color of your choice (I used colonial white), select background none and place over top of the ribbon.  To make a double bow ad two topiary (or color of your choice) flat knot ribbons (embellishments - ribbons), stacking one on top of the other, rotating one 180 degrees.  Place on top of striped ribbon.
.

Studio J Tip: Add small tags below each photo (Stickease - tags).  To write in the tags create journal blocks, select no background, edit text and place over your tags.  Create scalloped border by selecting honey circle from medium accent, crop in half, copy and paste to create border.

Thanks for stopping by - I hope you'll try out Studio J and find out just how easy it is to create your own beautiful pages.

Happy Family Summer Zoo Trip

We decided to participate in the Happy Family Movement's Summer Bucket List as a family.  So often we have great ideas of activities or projects we want to try with the kids and we will say "let's do that this summer".  Summer comes and goes and we forget to do things.  So this year we wrote it all down on fun bright cards in our diningroom.

For one of our activities we went to the Philadelphia Zoo!  The kids had a blast!  Its a good thing to because the next day, June 1st to be exact, I fell and broke my ankle in several places, tore some ligaments and bruised tendons.  I am determined to make this summer list work as much as I can even if I have to make "glow cones" from the sofa - lol

I got five free digital layouts with Studio J because I'm going to convention this year in Dallas - at least I hope I'm going!  So I used two of the layouts to document our trip to the zoo.  Here is the first layout

Initial Set up for this layout:   Select Lucky paper kit, Portrait Collection pattern and kit mix 5

Studio J Tip:  Place the circle from medium accent and crop in half.  Copy and paste to create a scallop border along the blue ribbon.  So cool!  You can do this with any of the many digital stickers to make your pages uniquely your own :)

Studio J Tip:  To make a unique embellishment create a journal box, select "none" for background and type an uppercase "O" in Cobbler font sized at 113.  Take any of the small accents and place it inside the "O"

I do like that even with a broken ankle I can get some digital pages done :)  If you want to check out
Studio J you can do try it out for FREE and I'd be happy to answer any questions.  You do need to set up an account but you don't have to pay a thing to play around with it - I love that I went on the trip with the kids and less than a week later I had the photos on pages and in my scrapbook!

Check out Happy Family Movement so see what others are doing this summer!  Do you have any summer family plans?  Thanks for stopping by - I'll show the other page from our zoo trip tomorrow!
