Close To My Heart May Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

Welcome to the May stamp of the month blog hop.  If you are here from Dawn's blog you are in the right place!  I'm so glad you are here :)

This is a really fun stamp set this month.  You can get this set one of two ways and only in the month of May.

1.  Order directly from your CTMH consultant (my website here) or
2. Place a $50 order with your consultant (my website) and get this set for only $5

I decided to make a shaker/flip card for my husband (his birthday is on May 2nd) with this month's stamp set.   The stamp I used also reminds me of my dear friend who's father passed away - he used to say "I love you to the moon, stars and beyond"

The top of the card has two different kinds of CTMH washi tape (one of my favorite craft products ever!).

The flap/shaker is created using a flip flap sandwiched between two chipboard frames (these come with the Artbooking Cricut bundle and are also available separately).

Thanks for stopping by!  Your next stop on this hop is Pamela's blog.  Happy crafting,

April Team Blog Hop

Welcome to the Creatively Redeeming Treasures Team Blog Hop.  This month we are doing an "anything goes" themed hop using our favorite Close To My Heart Products.
A good friend just had a baby boy so I used my Artbooking cartridge to create this mini album for her.  This might also be a good way to share with you all that we found out last week we will be adding a boy to our family this September :)

I used scraps from my Skylark paper pack (this comes in the kit when you join my crafting club/team), flip flaps and cards from the Avonlea Picture My Life kit.

I also used some mini wooden shapes, and frames from the snap shop chip board sheet (comes with the Artbooking cartridge).

For now the Team line up is here
Elizabeth Mindemann (you are here)
Elizabeth Cammack
Angela Kwedor
Helen Gullett

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great weekend!! Don't forget you can get your FREE cricut cartridge with Close To My Heart through the end of this month when you join our team :)  We would love to have you!!

Close To My Heart Base & Bling Key Ring

I recently had a class on our brand new Base & Bling necklaces and everyone had a blast!  In fact these necklaces were so much fun, quick, easy and inexpensive everyone wants to do it again!  I wanted to share with you another quick way to use these pieces.

I created a Key Ring for my Father-in-law's birthday gift.  The back has one of the stickers from the
Story Teller sheet and then I put a picture of our kids (his only grandkids) in the front.

Super easy this came together in less than five minutes:

Supplies:
Key Ring
Square Base & Bling Pendant
Square Base & Bling Glass cover
Story Teller Sticker Sheet
1" Photo
Liquid Glass

Crazy About Cricut Bday Blogaversary Bash Hop

Welcome to the Crazy About Cricut Blog Hop!  I'm so excited for my friend Jenny and her FIVE year anniversary blogging about things she loves like paper crafting and the Cricut!  I'm a huge fan of hers and am also a tiny bit obsessed with my Cricut machine so I am thrilled to be on this hop celebrating her and her fabulous blog!  In addition we are celebrating her 37th birthday!  Happy Birthday Jenny!!

If you have arrived from Jessica's blog Craftin And Stampin you are in the right place! If not you can start at the very beginning on Jenny's blog Crazy About Cricut!

Today I've created a Robot themed birthday package including a favor (or birthday gift bag), favor bag topper (can be used as food tags on a food table as well), and a birthday card.  The list of supplies used is at the bottom of the post.

First up is the gift bag/favor bag.  I used my CTMH Artiste cartridge (love the CTMH cartridges!
Click here to find out how you can get yours FREE this month) to cut the bag out of this super cute chevron paper.  Then I added a birthday tag and a colored Robot from the
Robot Family stamp set.

The food tags/favor bag tags were very simple.  Just a 4X4 square of pattern paper from the Skylark paper pack folded in half.  I added a piece of white cardstock for the words and then a colored robot kit from the same stamp set.

Finally the card.  I used a tutorial I found online for a super cute triple slider card that I thought I'd try.

Supplies used:
Skylark Paper Pack
White Cardstock
Pear Cardstock
Topiary Chevron Ribbon
Robot Family Stamp Set
Copic Markers
Black Pigment Ink
Fundamentals Cardstock (for the bag)
Artiste Cricut Cartridge

CTMH Cricut Cartridge FREE?! Which one do I choose?

So by now you have heard that you can choose a Close To My Heart Cricut collection for FREE when you join my crafting club/team this month (April 2014).  But what one do you choose?  If you already have one or two you know how fabulous they are and making the choice might be easy.  However, if you have not had the joy of trying any of the cartridges you might be at a loss at where to start.  I have put together a short description of each cartridge for you to help make that choice a little easier.

Art Philosophy:  The CTMH Cricut® Art Philosophy cartridge includes foundational shapes and building blocks that are an essential staple for every crafter. You’ll find versatile geometric shapes, classic brackets, frames, florals, flourishes, borders, fonts, numbers, and more. With 700 images to choose from, it’s the cartridge you’ll buy and never take out of your cutter. Favorite elements include unique gift boxes, elegant doilies, and stunning 3-D rosettes, to name just a few.

When you choose the Art Philosophy Cartridge you will receive:
~ (1) Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge (featuring 700 images: fonts, shapes, and 3-D projects)
~ (3) Coordinating My Acrylix D size stamp sets (valued at $17.95 each) titled: Art Philosophy Tags, Art Philosophy Seasons and Art Philosophy Celebrations
~ (3) Sets of 9" x 12" coordinating chip board Dimensional sheets (Tags, Mixed Shapes, and Banners)

This cartridge includes:
1 ~ Full alphabet & number font (including a decorative layer option)
50 ~ labels
50 ~ tags
17 ~ borders
100 ~ shapes
8 ~ 3D projects
6 ~ 3D flowers
100 ~ card bases
and much more!

The AP cartridge has loads of cards, basic shapes and a beautiful font.  If you don't have any of the cartridges I would get this one because it is so incredibly versatile.
You can view the online handbook at Cricut.com and view all the shapes, cards, flowers, 3D projects and more!

Artiste:  The Cricut® Artiste collection helps you turn everyday events into magical celebrations! The unique cartridge takes creativity to a new level allowing you to cut themed projects and shapes using a single key. Color-coded images in the accompanying booklet indicate shapes that are linked and can be cut using the same size setting for hassle-free layering and assembly. Choosing a themed project is easy with the project reference pictures, and assembling 3-D items is a snap with the separate assembly and folding guide.

When you choose the Artiste Cartridge Bundle you will receive:
(1) Artiste Cricut Cartridge (700 images: themed holiday & everyday celebration events, shapes, 3D items and much much more!)
(3) Exclusive D size stamp sets (valued at $17.95 each) titled: Artiste Birthdays, Artiste Word Balloons, and Artiste Kudos
(3) Coordinating 9" x 12" chip board Dimensional element sheets (Mini album, Banners, and Word Balloons)

This cartridge includes:
1 ~ Full Alphabet & Number Font

This cartridge is perfect for themed events, scrapbook pages and cards!  I've used it to make favor boxes for a Women's tea at my church, fun place settings at Holiday meals, birthdays and even weddings!  It is also one of my favorites for cards and envelopes.

ArtbookingTake your scrapbooking to never-before-seen levels with the new Cricut® Artbooking collection! With oodles of images in each of 15 layout themes, you can create several coordinating pages for each theme using just two keys and one dial size. Images include accents, borders, titles, overlays, photo mats—in standard photo sizes!—and more.

When you choose the Artbooking cartridge you will get the following:
(1) Artbooking cartridge (700 images: titles, photo mats, overlays, borders and more!)

100 + ~ Titles & Phrases
40 + ~ Mini Album Pages
50 + ~ Photo Mats

So so so much more!!

This is one of my absolute favorite cricut cartridges!  I use it all the time!  This is an revolutionary cartridge optimized for creating 12" x 12" pages in a jiffy.  With the "real size dial off" you set your size dial at 11" and then everything is cut to scale meaning no wasted paper - title is cut to scale so are the photo mats, shapes and overlays to create the perfect page!  You will love the 10 themed mini albums!

You can view the online handbook for the Arbooking Cartridge at cricut.com.

So now the hardest part for the month of April is choosing your cartridge and I hope this post has helped you with that choice!  If you still think this deal is not for you each one of these cartridge bundles are available for $99 on my website.

Happy Crafting!  I look forward to having you as a part of our Creatively Redeeming Treasures team!
