Stay A Stay at Home Mom - DIY Baby Ideas

Rayven from Stay A Stay At Home Mom is having a baby themed giveaway and I am excited to be able to participate in this event.  I have three kids of my own and love being able to stay at home with them.  They are growing up fast!

My sister just welcomed her second baby boy into the family born seven weeks early!

One of my favorite things to do is craft and my second is to decorate - so I am thrilled to be able to share some ideas with you on how to DIY from decorating your baby's room to creating personalized announcements and everything in between.
I have a pinterest board dedicated just to decorating for baby and you'll find that here.
Here are a few DIY decorating ideas (PLEASE click on photo for source and pin from original source)
Check out this blog for super tutorial on using Dictionary pages and vintage greeting cards.
Or use frames, a cabinet door knob and some pretty paper to display baby (or doll) clothing.  I used this idea in our daughter's room with a sweater from my great grandmother, a dress my grandmother wore as a baby, a baby dress of my mother's and then a baby sweater of mine.  I loved the look and the sentiment behind it as well.
Some beautiful girl paper for this type of project is the Chantilly paper pack from Close To My Heart.
And I love the Later Sk8r paper for boy themed projects.
Another great room decorating idea is this Alphabet art (I love alphabet art - plus some art can be used even as they grow older making changing out the nursery decor less of a necessity)

Mini albums are another favorite of mine and make great baby books (in fact you can re-purpose baby board books to make mini albums like the one I made here), brag books for mom, grandma or an aunt, and are super keepsakes for baby's firsts.

I created these mini albums with chipboard pieces, the Cricut Artiste cartridge and pattern paper.

Finally making your own invitations and announcements is easy with custom design stamps and baby stamps.
