August CTMH Spotlight Blog Hop (Circle Cards)

Welcome to the Spotlight Blog Hop!  This month we are featuring circle cards using our fabulous new product from the just released Fall/Winter Idea Book!  If you have arrived from Mary's Blog you are in the right place!  So glad you are here!  If you want to start at the beginning of the hop or get lost along the way go to Wendy's Blog to start.

Here is what I did with a circle card . . .

First I made my own patterned paper  using the flower and flourish stamps from the Pair-a-Phrase stamp set and the bandanna technique (can you tell I'm totally in love with this technique!  I can't stop using it!!)

After outlining the stamps with a white colored pencil (NOT WATERCOLOR),
I inked the square with a sponge using the same color ink that I stamped with.

I wanted part of my circle card to be purple so I drew a line and inked  (again using the sponge)
the section I wanted purple

After matting the background paper I made I adhered the square and strip of green paper to the card

Next I stamped the bike using Staz on ink and then colored in with CTMH's watercolor pencils
I love doing this - reminds me of my coloring book days as a child
I cut out the bike and then using 3D tape adhered it to the card

My finished project!  Love how this card turned out!!

Thanks for visiting!  Hope you enjoyed - now hop over to Tamytha's blog for another beautiful circle card!
