Crafting "Pinspiration" with Close To My Heart

I don't know about you but I get into these crafting valleys or deserts sometimes and just can't seem to find my mojo.  Craft challenges help but sometimes I need just a little more to kick start my creativity!  That is where pinterest really comes into play for me (bear with me as I'm still trying to reorganize my pin boards - and my craft room but that is another story).

I have a board called Crafty Inspiration where I post all sorts of photos like home decorating, paint samples, color combinations, fashion, nature photos, etc.  I use these photos to get inspiration for making cards and scrapbook pages.  Let me show you an example . . .

I found the above photo on pinterest and went to the link which sent me to a link which sent me to the final original source (this is important to give credit where credit is due).  I deleted the first pin and pinned from the original source.  Now I'm ready to create my card using this photo for inspiration.

I focused on the doily (using one of my favorite stamp sets), the orange color, bright blue for my font and the butterfly from the pillow and came up with the above card.

This photo shows the detail of the doily stamp - see why I love this!!

Materials Used:
Love Doily Stamp Set
White Ink
Butterfly (cut with Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge) and inked with Creme Brulee Ink
Flower (cut with Art Philosophy Cartridge) and inked with Sunset Ink
Prisma Glitter
Lagoon Ink for sentiment

Now it is your turn :)  Go to my Pinterest Crafty Inspiration Board - pick a photo for inspiration and create a scrapbook page or card from that inspiration - link up back here.  Your project can be anything paper related and can use any products to create not just Close To My Heart.  I'm going to run this through the end of August 2013 and then will randomly pick from all entries a winner to receive a prize package of Close To My Heart stamps and inks.

Happy Creating!
