Is It Normal . . .

Alright I'm going to try this - it looked like fun :)  Allyce over at Chalk in the Rain is having fun with questions.  What is normal anyway?  She is in week five so I'm a little late to the game but better late than never so here goes . . .

1.  Is it normal to live with your parents past the age of 24?
I'm going to go with It depends on this one - lol - I know that is so non committal of me but I think it really does depend on so many factors.  Some people live at home to save money while finishing college degrees, some are not physically or mentally capable of living on their own and I don't want to call them abnormal because they live with their parents.  How are we defining normal?  Ok I'm blogging like I talk - I talk as I think - this gets me into trouble all the time!  I'm changing my mind here.  No it is not normal to live with your parents past the age of 24.  Done.
2.  Is it normal to leave your house and/or car unlocked?
Now this one I'm really going to say it depends because it really depends on where you live.  I'm probably not normal on this one but I lock my car doors and my house when I am in them.  However, I do not lock my house or my car doors when I am away from them?  What?!  I know that is so strange.  When I think about it I know it is because I don't own that much of value and if anyone wants to take my stuff go right ahead - just don't you dare try to harm me or those I love!  That will not be tolerated!!
  3.  Is it normal to prefer using your a men's razor instead of a women's?
Yes.  Why have they not discovered that most women are using men's razors and just make men's razors in pinks and purple?  Seriously!?

4.  Is it normal to go back to bed right after showering for a quick nap?
Um I'm going to go with no for this one.  I hate showering before bed or a nap because my hair is long and heavy and takes forever to dry.  I hardly ever blow dry my hair and I don't like a wet pillow so I always shower in the morning and then go on with my day.

5.  Is it normal to eat chocolate chips straight from the bag?
Why is this even a question?  Of course it is normal to each chocolate chips straight from the bag.  My question would be is it normal to use chocolate chips in cookies ;)
6.  Is it normal to check behind the shower curtain or under the bed before you get in?
Well after reading Allyce's answer I'm feeling paranoid and I guess I'm not normal- lol  I would say yes but than again I've always been a fearful kind of girl.  This is why I lock my doors when I am in the house and never watch any horror movies - really where is the entertainment in that?!  I think this question goes perfectly with Question #2.
7.  Is it normal to talk to yourself?
Well I do it in my head all the time so why not talk to myself out loud.  Who else is going to listen to you better than yourself.  Yes this is normal.

8.  Is it normal to bite your nails?
Um . . . no?  I don't know.  I do bite my nails sometimes when I'm nervous or bored but not very often.  Do I know a lot of people who bite their nails - yes.
9.  Is it normal to go to bed without brushing your teeth?
I'm afraid to answer this question.  Yes I think it is normal to go to bed without brushing your teeth which is why we have to teach our children to brush their teeth and I have to remind myself many nights when I'm drifting off that I have yet to brush my teeth - force myself out of bed to do it and then go to sleep.  While we're on this subject is it normal to say "I'm going to bed" when you are going to sleep or must one always say "I'm going to sleep"?  My husband gets on me all the time because I ask him if he is going to bed and he says "I'm already there" - UGH!  Anyway, back to the brushing teeth.  I think this is something that you have to think about doing.  At least I do.  Now the morning that is a no brainer.
10. Is it normal to "baby talk" your pet?
Yes.  This is normal unless you have a dog like I have.  Then it is normal to yell at him to stop his crazy barking at nothing.
