Cooking with Cricut Bible Verse

November 20th through November 26th is National Bible Verse Week! Cooking with Cricut is celebrating this with their challenge this week - make something with a Bible Verse.

I made some star ornaments with the Art Philosophy Cartridge and the Everlasting Life stamp set from Close To My Heart.

First I used the Art Philosophy Cartridge to cut out stars at 2 1/2 inches and filled the page.  One sheet of cardstock will make 16 ornaments.

Then I stamped the stars with a verse sentiment from the Everlasting Life stamp set in Barn Red and Cocoa Ink.

This is what the stars look like after you stamp them

Next I glued the cardstock stars to a sheet of Elmer's foam board using a hot glue gun

The final step was to cut out the stars (I started with a knife but found scissors to work best), ink the edges, punch a hole at the top and thread some twine through the hole to hang the ornaments.

Some pictures of the finished ornaments . . .

  2. Elizabeth, This is just a super idea to create the ornaments with the Bible verse on them. This is a perfect example of "less is more". They are just beautiful.

    Happy Thanksgiving.
