Wishing You Well

This past spring our family was hit with the news that my mother-in-law had breast cancer.  Funny, that word "cancer" just seems to instill fear like almost no other illness can.  After chemo treatments she went in today for surgery and I am relieved and happy to say that she did very well.  She is currently home recovering - God has been good to us all!

This Saturday, September 10th, my good friend, Stephenie and I are hosting a fundraising crop at Black Rock Retreat Center.  We are hoping to raise money for the team "The Inspired" who hope to walk in the Susan G. Komen 3 day for the Cure walk.  If they don't raise the money, they can not walk.  My girlfriend is on this team and I know how much it means to her to walk.  I am asking you all to pray for us that we would raise the money we need for this event.  ALL PROFIT from this event is going directly to the team.  Please pass along this information to your friends, post this on your blogs, share it on facebook.  If you live in the area you are welcome to come (for just $40 you get three meals, table space, a goodie bag, door prizes and more) and bring a friend.  Register here.  If not please consider donating to this team here

I made a card today for my mother-in-law and am entering it into the following challenges.

Just Us Girls with this sketch

Heart 2 Heart Challenge (choose your color scheme) with my favorite colors
Blues, Greens and Kraft

and

Making something "Grand" for my dear mother-in-law who just happens to be the
"Grand"ma to my precious three Little ones!

A close up of the flowers.  These were stamped using the Enjoy Every Moment stamp set.
Then colored in using CTMH watercolor pencils.

A photo of the finished card.  Thanks for viewing, for your prayers, thoughts, comments and support!  I am so grateful for each one of you!

Don't forget about the giveaway this month.  Blessings,
