Spotlight Blog Hop Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge

Good morning and welcome to the Close To My Heart Spotlight Blog Hop.  If you are coming from My Creative Ink then you are in the right place!  I'm so excited about the new cartridge for the Cricut from Close To My Heart.  With over 700 images there is so much you can do with it!  I have used it already to make boxes and cards for a Ladies group at church (80 boxes and 240 cards), favor boxes for my son's 5th birthday party, flowers and shapes and I have only used a few of the features of just a few of the buttons!

For today's blog hop I'm going to show you two different projects that I made for a local fair that I have a table at.

The first I saw on Debbie's blog Scrappin' My Heart Out.  She showed how she made a easel card and I tried to do the same thing.  Using the Art Philosophy Cartridge, I cut out a card shape at 5 1/2 inches and then one single shaped piece at 5 1/2 inches.  I scored and folded the top of the card in half and glued the bottom of the shaped piece to the bottom half of the top of the card.  Wow!  That is a mouth full - I'll show you a picture.

A picture does say a thousand words!  Here is the front of the card . . .

Another shot of the sentiment (I made it using a combination of a few phrases from Classmate Alphabet)

And finally the card when it is up for display.  I put a strip of inked paper across the middle of the inside of the card to hold the top in place when it is folded up.  You can still write in the card and even stamp a sentiment across the strip.

The next project I made involved lots and lots of flowers.  I was inspired by Lisa's wreath here (she includes a video tutorial on her blog) and decided to try the same idea with but do something a little different.

Here are the images that come on the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge (click on the photo to enlarge)

In addition to this amazing cartridge jammed packed with shapes, 3D images, fonts and more, remember, when you purchase the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge, you’ll also receive three exclusive D-size stamp sets and three sets of Dimensional Elements (chipboard) designed to perfectly coordinate with images on the cartridge. That’s a retail value of over $120 for just for $99! Stamp on your Cricut shapes, cover your Dimensional Elements with a Cricut shape, or cut, stamp, and then cover!

But Wait - there's more ;), Close To My Heart is giving away a FREE double stamp set with the purchase of $75 this month (a value of  $36) which means you will get over $150 worth of product for only $99!
If interested please contact me here or shop for the cartridge at my website here. This would make an excellent gift for the crafter in your life - and Christmas is coming!

  1. This cartridge is killing me. I have an October birthday and I think I'm going to start putting post-it's all over the house suggesting this would be a great gift. From the economical side think how much could be saved from not buying nesting punches or nestibilities. Yeah, that's what I'm gonna say. Thanks for sharing.
