Make It Monday

Good Monday morning friends!  What a crazy week I had last week but so much fun!  I'll be posting about my time at our local fair and the Christmas Card making day soon but for now I'm going to share a simple, easy, quick but super fun project to do with you kids.

The autumn weather brings apples, pumpkins, and all kinds of fun things surrounding those fall items in our home.  I am so excited about going to pick apples with my kids and making our own frozen apple sauce - so yummy!!  Today we are sharing with you another fun thing we do with apples - Apple Prints!

You will need apples, a knife (adult only), paint, paper plate and construction paper.  I cut the apple in half to make a star (cutting in the middle of the apple instead of from top of stem to bottom) and gave each of my boys a half an apple.  Then they put the apple into the paint on a paper plate and made prints onto construction paper.  I took another apple and cut out a simple shape to make "apple stamps" and they did the same thing.

Our paint was a little too wet - I'd advise a little thicker paint it will work better.  My kids still had fun.  And of course you can not have an apple project without an apple snack ;) !

Happy Monday - go make something beautiful and treasured today!  Don't forget about my giveaways this month.  The chance to win two free stamp set here, My Memories Digital Software ends tonight at midnight and Studio J digital membership ends on Friday!  Wow, that is a lot of FREE stuff for you all - better tell your friends ;)

Blessings,
