Welcome to the Creepy Cricut Creations Blog Hop! If you are here from
Carol's blog then you are in the right place :) If not, you may want to start at the very beginning (it's a very good place to start - now you have the song in your head like I do - lol) at
Crazy About Cricut.
We are celebrating our Cricut machines and Halloween in this amazing hop!
Today I've created for you a Halloween treat perfect for an adult or girly girl (like my 3 going on 16 year old). A home made Pumpkin Spice Sugar Scrub and uber cute pumpkin tag.
Using my
Art Philosophy Cartridge I cut out the tags at 3 inches. Then I cut out three orange ovals at 1 inch and inked the edges. I cut a small piece of
bronze shimmer trim to create the pumpkin stem. Then I overlapped the ovals to create the pumpkin - so easy my 6 year old was helping me put these together. Finally I added a stamped leaf and tied the finished tag onto the scrub.
Recipe for the Pumpkin Spice Sugar Scrub:
(
Adapted from this recipe here)
2 cups Brown Sugar
1 cup White Sugar
2 Tablespoons of Pumpkin Pie Spice
1 Cup plus 1 Tablespoon of Grapeseed oil (I found that this oil has the least amount of smell making it perfect for these yummy sugar scrubs)
Mix all ingredients together and put into an sealed and sanitized container - these will keep for months if stored out of direct sunlight. I was able to make six 4oz jars with this recipe.
Thanks for hopping along with us. Your next stop is
Amanda's blog.
