Close To My Heart December Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

December is here and it is time for the Stamp of the Month Blog hop.  I'm also starting my first day of 12 days of Christmas with this hop project.  Each day I will introduce a new holiday project and offer a special for that day only having to do with the project shown that day.

If you are coming from Jill's blog you are in the right place :)

December's stamp of the month is entitled Year Round Cheer.

You can get this stamp one of two ways:
1.  Purchase outright from your consultant or off of my website for $17.95 or
2.  Place a $50 purchase with your consultant or off my website and get this stamp of the month for only $5

I also offer this stamp set for FREE if you
1.  Place a $100 order on my website
2.  Book and hold a qualifying on-line or in home party
3.  Sign up to join my team/crafting club

I have been working on a ton of crafting projects for a craft fair I am doing today.  I hope they sell :)  I used the stamp of the month to decorate these Bath & Body works mini hand sanitizer purses.

They are very simple to make but I do not have any photos or a video for the tutorial.  Just a step by step for you.  I hope that will be enough to get you started.

1.  You will need a 3x12 strip of cardstock

2.  Score your cardstock at 1 1/2 inches, 5 1/2 inches, 6 1/2 inches and 10 1/2 inches

3.  Fold along all your score lines pinching the top 1 1/2 inch pieces together and folding over what will be the front of your purse.

4.  Hole punch two holes through the front panel and both flaps, unfold and punch two holes in the back 10 1/2 score line (this is for the handle)

5. Thread ribbon through the back score line holes and tie off inside the purse to make your handle

6.  Fold the purse back together bringing the flap over the front and thread ribbon through all holes tie to create the bow

7.  Decorate as you wish and fill with hand sanitizer.

I did use a 1 inch x  8 inch strip (scored at 2 inches, 3 inches, 6 inches and 7 inches and used adhesive to go around the entire purse.  This adds a little something to the purse and holds the sanitizer in place.  The shape on the front was cut using the Cricut and then I stamped the image from the stamp set directly onto the tag shape with Olive Ink.  I then stamped the image again onto scrap paper in Cranberry ink and fussy cut around the ornament and glued to the front of the tag.

You can see the side view here how the sanitizer fits in to the purse (sorry the photo is so blurry!)

Close To My Heart chalkboard paper

I'm so in love with the chalkboard paper and labels from Close To My Heart!  I have so many ideas running through my head of what I want to make with them.  Here are just a few I have found . . .

Labels - you can label just about anything with
these chalkboard labels from Close To My Heart

Only $3.95!!

Like these super cute clothes pin chalkboard labels from Create-Share-Inspire

Or these canning jars (looks like she painted them but it would be easier with sticky chalkboard labels) from TomKat Studios

I was thinking a board like this would be super cute in my girl's room or even the kitchen.
Scrapbook 12x12 Chalkboard paper would be perfect!

Or these super cute frame ideas from Serenity Now blog

And Tresa Black at Fabulously Artsy

Thanks for stopping by . . . I think I might go do some creating :)
