February Stamp Of the Month Blog Hop

I can hardly believe it is time for the February Stamp of the Month Blog Hop already!  What an exciting month this is!  We have a beautiful Stamp of the Month to showcase, a brand New Idea Book filled with tons of beautiful NEW products, and an out of this world deal from Studio J you won't want to miss!  There is really something for everyone :)
If you are coming from Kami's blog then you are in the right place, welcome!  I hope you are enjoying all the great projects you've see so far!

This is an exciting month for Close To My Heart!  A brand spankin' new Idea Book is released today and it is jam packed with all kinds of super sweet paper crafting products!  This month's stamp set is called Thoughtful Tidings and is great for cardmakers and scrapbookers alike!

I love that it coordinates with the Art Philosophy Cartridge on many of the stamps as well!
You can get this stamp set one of two ways
1. Order is outright for $17.95 or
2. Place an order on my website for $50 or more and get it for only $5!
This stamp set is only available until the end of the month so make sure you don't miss out :)

I used the Stella Paper pack to make this card.  I cut out some stars on the Art Philosophy Cartridge and then scored them down the center into the middle of the star and folded them over to make them 3D.

I also lined the envelope with some of the same paper to coordinate :)
The card was stamped around the edges with the star stamp and then of course the very fitting "you're a star" sentiment stamp.

I also made some ornaments using this stamp set and
you are welcome to view my post on how I made them.

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you enjoyed what I have made - I love and read each comment!  Now hop on over to Nancy's blog and see what project she created with this very versatile stamp set!

Today is an exciting day in the world of Close To My Heart crafters :)

For my card class, craft club and making memories club we will be using the Pemberly paper pack.  It is one of my favorites - along with Stella - then again I do love the Crusin set - oh nevermind I can't pick a favorite!

Hands On Play Challenge - Day 20

Can you believe we only have 10 more days to go?!!
Today's Challenge - Dress Up :)
My kids really enjoy playing dress up but I don't have a whole bunch of clothes for them.  I'm currently working on some homemade outfits (superhero capes, and simple accesories) but right now we only have a lion and ape that someone gave to us.  My daughter has a few different dresses handed down so we got them out and played.  At first she was not very into it but eventually she warmed up to the idea.

The boys were animals in the zoo and we went to visit

then we put on some music and all danced

We did this right before bed (great tiring out activity) and my oldest son said,
"I think we should do this again tomorrow morning!"

I think we will - so heads up - tomorrow's challenge - make some music and maybe even dance a little :)
Thanks for stopping by and so faithfully posting your own adventures.  I am really enjoying this time together!

Cooking With Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge Showcase

I'm so excited to be showcasing the Art Philosophy Cartridge  over at Cooking with Cricut  today.  I hope you will stop by and take a look at all the projects I posted using this one cartridge!!  I have been a HUGE fan of the Cricut machine (have been for over five years!) and love love love using it for my scrapbook layouts.  However, since I purchased the Art Philosophy Cartridge back in August I have not taken it out of my machine (with over 700 images I have not had to)!

In preparation for this showcase I made a gift tag and box both cut out with the Art Philosophy Cartridge

The cartridge comes with three coordinating stamp sets so I used one set on this gift tag.  The flower is also cut from the cartridge.  I love these rolled flowers (six different ones to choose from in this cartridge).
Then I cut out a window card with the cartridge and a small tag to make this card

Using the cartridge to cut out the letters (because along with all the boxes, cards, shapes and flowers there is also a font on this cartridge!) for my title, the triangle for the roof on the house, the flower that I used a coordinating stamp with, the tags and the journal shape to make this scrapbook layout

I found the poem for this layout at scrapbook.com but tweaked it a little to fit my home :)  A copy of the poem I ended up using is at the end of this post.
Here I used the cartridge to cut out the flower and then used the coordinating stamp set to fill in the petals!

This cartridge is only available through a Close To My Heart consultant - you can check out my website here.  Anyone who make a purchase of $30 or more will receive the brand New Idea Book from me as well filled with tons of samples for scrapbooking, cardmaking and papercrafting!  Thanks so much for stopping by - your comments make my day :)
