Close To My Heart September Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

Hello and can you believe it is September?  Well almost.  School has already started here for my oldest and we finished our first week of these changes :)  He also turns six today!  Things are changing around here and changing fast - it is hard to keep up with everything!  One of the things I love the best about the fall is change - cooler weather, picking apples and making sauce, carving pumpkins, etc.  My favorite is the changing leaves - I love the colors of fall!

Welcome to the September Stamp of the Month Blog Hop - if you are coming from Dawn's blog "I'm A Happy Stamper" (LOVE that blog name!) you are in the right place!  So glad you are here :)

Every month Close To My Heart releases a new stamp set available only for one month.  September's stamp of the month is called Fall Favorites . . .

You can get this stamp set one of two ways:
1.  Purchase it  for $17.95 from September 1st until September 30th
2.  Place a purchase of $50 and get this stamp set for only $5

In addition I offer two other ways you can get this stamp set every month
Host an on-line gathering of $150 or more and get this stamp set FREE
place an order of $100 and get this stamp set FREE
Please contact me (alwaysdeeper at hotmail . com) for the details on how to get this set FREE during the month of September.

Here is my card :)  Simple I know but that is my style - clean and simple.  I really love the look of the tag on this card and might make myself a set of them :)

I paper pieced the leaves then water colored them with our waterbrush and honey & sunset inks.  The pumpkins were first stamped directly onto the tag and then I stamped another of the pumpkin image onto a scrap piece of paper.  I colored in the pumpkins with the Autumn Terracotta markers, cut out just the pumpkins and then popped them up with 3D foam tape onto the tag.

My favorite part of this card is the ribbon.  I love our color ready ribbon - love that I can match it to any color I want :)  I colored the ribbon this time with our new markers using the darker Autumn Terracotta marker and I can not be happier with the results!  I love how easy it was to color the ribbon!

Thank you for stopping by!  I hope you have a great weekend - we'll be celebrating all weekend long with family my little man turning 6 - this is a big deal you know.  Now that he has gone to school for a whole week he knows everything . . . at least more than his Mama knows ;)
Now hop on over to Adeline's blog
and see what beautiful project she created with this sweet stamp set!
   Happy Labor Day,

Another card

Here is another card I made using the CTMH alcohol markers Rudy, and Olive.  The stamp set Love Blooms and the sentiment set Words of Comfort.  The "heart flower" again was used from book paper hearts we received at a recent wedding.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by :)

New Close To My Heart Markers

Happy Monday to you all :)  My oldest starts school today and I'm an emotional wreck!  I decided to make myself a card - lol

I used the new alcohol markers from Close To My Heart to color in these stamped flower images from the Love Blooms stamp set and I love them!  They blend so nicely - I am super pleased!  The sentiment is from the Words of Comfort stamp set.

I used the Ruby markers for the flowers and the Olive markers for the leaves - I love how easy it was to blend the colors and create depth in the stamped images!

We were at a wedding a few weeks ago and they had these cute paper hearts cut from book pages to throw instead of rice or blowing bubbles.  I reused some of these hearts onto the card.

Here is a tutorial video on how to use the markers - I am really loving them!

For all you Mama's out there with kids heading to school for the first time this year; I made this card for you too :)  Off to cry into a cup of tea and then pull myself together - I have two other kids I have to care for.
Have a great day!

Feature a Friend {on Friday}

Well it appears as if I am not the only one having health issues right now :(  My guest for Feature a Friend today is recovering from knee replacement surgery and the recovery is taking her much longer than expected.  So I decided to pick a few of my own "friends" to feature today.  I hope the doctors will find out what is wrong with me soon and I'll be back to crafting and blogging (and cooking, cleaning, taking care of my kids, etc.)!  Until then enjoy a few projects from some on-line friends of mine . . .

First Wendy (a fellow servant of Jesus Christ and a simple scrapbooker) from On the Road to Destiny

Next is Cara from Bits, Baubles and Bliss

Then dear Dolores from Scrapper in New York

and last but not least Jeannine from Creative Chaos

I have had the privilege of working with each of these talented ladies on the Scrapping Everyday Miracles design team and God has used them in my life to make me a better woman!   Each and every woman on the DT over at SEM have spoken into my life at just the time I needed them!  If you have not joined our facebook chit chat group you really should check it out :)

They do not know I am featuring them so if you have the chance stop by their blogs and leave them some love :)  Some of these ladies (and others on the design team) will be featured on future Fridays but I wanted to give them a few minutes of spotlight here on Broken Treasures.  Happy Friday!

Close To My Heart Celebration

Good morning crafting friends!  And a special welcome to Pink Cricut readers :)  I'm here just to share a quick special and super deal with you today.

From August 15th until September 30th celebrate life's everyday moments and the love of stamping with Close To My Heart!  Get this double stamp set (valued at $35) for only $5 with a $35 purchase.

If you are here visiting from Pink Cricut welcome!  I am currently not blogging because of some severe pain and health issues I'm dealing with over the past week and a half.  If you know me at all you will remember that I broke my ankle in several places on June 1st and now to be sick like this at the end of the summer - I'm struggling quite a bit.  As a Mama of three little ones (ages 5, 4, and 2) I just wanted this to be the best summer ever for them . . . instead it has been the best summer ever for me learning to be patient and trust God has the best in mind for me.  Will you keep me and my family in your thoughts and prayers.  I'm asking God to give the doctor's wisdom because this pain is physically draining and to be honest a little scary.

If you are not here from Pink Cricut, you should head on over and check out some of Sarah's beautiful projects.  She created some lovely things with the Close To My Heart Artiste cartridge.  To celebrate her creativity I am having a Pink Cricut party on my website and anyone who orders the cartridge joining that party will get a FREE paper pack from the current CTMH Idea Book and an Idea Book shipped to your house from me.  So head on over - get your cartridge, the double stamp set for only $5 and a FREE paper pack! Thanks for stopping by and for all your support - I am blessed by each one of you :)
