Autumn Entryway

So I have had my front step decorated for a few weeks not but just finished my initial wreath last week.  I got the idea off of pinterest

My wreath with a felt flower and berries.  Totally just realized I did not tell you how I made this.  Opps - sorry about that one.

**tutorial added**

I started with a large piece of Styrofoam and cut out an "M".  Then using a glue gun and twine I wrapped the entire form with twine, gluing down as I went to keep it from slipping.  Finally I added some silk flowers and berries and some felt flowers that I made for my orange wreath (tutorial for flowers HERE).

Yellow mums and little pumpkin (Love bright mums :) )

  2. I love the M. D and I were thinking of doing an intertwined M and D for our new place. I suggested several layers of cardboard, but I think Styrafoam would work better.

    1. Thanks for stopping by Diane! I used the twine (hot glued to the back of the letter) and hung it from a nail on the top of my door :) I love the look of twine!

    1. Hi glad you stopped by. I did use hot glue for the whole letter. I started at the bottom of the "m" on one side and then when I finished the ends I tucked them under the wrapped twine either on the bottom or the back and secured with hot glue.

    1. Hi :) Thanks for stopping by my blog :)

I had gotten a decorative "M" for a wedding gift ten years ago (I think it was purchased at a Hobby Lobby or craft store like that) and used that to trace out the letter onto the styrofoam sheet before I cut it with a craft knife and then wrapped with twine. Sorry I can not be more specific on a font but hope that this is helpful information for you :)

      Thanks again for stopping by!

  7. This was my favorite DIY project! I'm actually doing a post this week on it. Would you mind if I included your photo to show my initial inspiration (with a link, of course to your page)?
